We're Why Are You Angry Today?, brought to you by the Angry Toy Company. This page explains what we collect when you share a story with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've kept it short and plain — no dark patterns.
What we collect
- Your story — the text you submit through the form on the homepage.
- Your alias — a pseudonym so we can credit your story without identifying you.
- Mood selection — the mood you tag your story with.
- Email (optional) — only if you choose to provide it.
- Social handle (optional) — only if you tick the box to share it, plus the platform you select (TikTok or Instagram).
- Standard web data — basic analytics like page views and device type to understand how the site is used.
How we use it
- To feature your story (under your alias) on TikTok, Instagram, our podcast, and this site.
- To reply to you if you've given us an email address.
- To tag your social handle only if you've explicitly opted in.
- To improve the site and the things we're building (the diary, the app).
We never sell your data. We never share your real identity, email, or handle without your explicit consent.
Where your data lives
Submissions are sent to our team via secure email. We don't currently store stories in a public database. When we do introduce a database (for the upcoming app), we'll update this page first.
Your rights
- Access — ask us what we hold about you.
- Removal — ask us to take down a published story or delete a submission.
- Correction — ask us to fix something inaccurate.
Email hey@whyareyouangrytoday.com with your alias and we'll handle it within a reasonable timeframe.
Cookies
We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics — no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
Children
This site is not intended for users under 13. If you're under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before sharing personal stories online.
Changes
We'll update this page when things change and bump the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on our socials.
